Well its that time again for the new season of the Amazing Race. This has always been one of my favorite reality shows. This year there are a few firsts. Rumor has it that the edgy hit UK series Skins will have an US production. The casting is still taking place but the location will be Baltimore according to inside sources. Also MTV will produce the American version and director John Waters might be involved. Fans of the UK series will find it hard to believe that a US version can match the intensity and realism of teenage life as portrayed in the original.

In 1972 filmmaker Robert Frank was hired to do a documentary of the Rolling Stones first North American tour since the tragedy at Altamont. The tour was to promote their latest release, Exile On Main Street. The end result was Cocksucker Blues, a very candid and sometimes raw look at the band during their heyday. After previewing the film the group decided to shelve it where it sat til very recently.
